The mission of Patrick Mouthpieces is to provide trumpet players the tools necessary to perform on their instruments what they hear in their head, and to enable us all to switch between musical genres and not compromise sound or performance.

Sort of an a unicorn in the brass world. Maynard used a Rudy Muck that he modified by himself in the early part of his career. Some of his best work was done on that mouthpiece. In the 70s, Rudy Muck tried to recreate that mouthpiece to put it into production. They made five for Maynard to try but they never went into production. This is a copy of the 5 prototypes that were made for him. This is an extremely good representation of the original which is at J Landress brass in their museum. This is not your typical Maynard mouthpiece as the i.d. is bigger and in general the entire mouthpiece feels much roomier and bigger. This MAY work for you classical players that can't play on smaller i.d. mouthpieces that are shallow. The whole piece is just a different design than anything else that I have ever come across.
